Sometimes called the “king of essential oils,” frankincense (Boselli carterii, Boswellia frereana, Boswellia sacra) is a beloved and priceless essential oil that delivers some amazing benefits.

It is said to have been used for centuries for spiritual and meditation purposes.

Frankincense is derived from the incisions made into a small tree’s bark, where a natural resin/gum is created. Through the steam distillation, the oil is obtained.

Frankincense essential oil uses:

To use frankincense oil, simply absorb it into the skin or inhale it. It is generally combined with jojoba oil or a scent-free lotion like carrier oil.

Some say that the oil sends messages to the brain’s limbic system, which stimulates the nervous system. A small amount of oil packs quite a punch. Note that consumption or application in large amounts can be detrimental to your health.

When buying essential oils, bypass the ones labeled as “perfume oil” or “fragrance oil.” Such types may be synthetic and don’t offer very many health advantages.

For essential oils of the highest quality, seek out ones labeled as “100% essential oil” or “pure essential oil.”  CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO
